SMS Opt-In Policy

CALI uses SMS (text messages) to send important updates, announcements, and promotions to our members who have expressly opted in to receive these messages.

📩 How to Opt In

Members may choose to receive SMS communications by:

  • Signing up through our official website at caliunion.org/membership.
  • Texting a designated keyword (e.g., “JOIN”) to our official CALI SMS number.

📴 How to Opt Out

  • You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message.
  • Once you opt out, you will no longer receive SMS updates unless you re-enroll.

📜 Message Frequency

  • Message frequency will vary based on union activities, but members can expect:
    • Announcements of important meetings or votes
    • Updates on collective bargaining
    • Urgent alerts related to union business
    • Member promotions or events

🔒 Privacy and Data Use

  • CaliUnion respects your privacy.
  • Your phone number will only be used for union-related SMS messages.
  • We do not sell or share member phone numbers with third parties.
